Making money with Open Source, the Mozilla Way.
Posted by Prakash under Linux
Mozilla has earned a revenue of US$52.9 Millions! By partnering with various search companies such as Google they have turned their free open source browser into a money spinner. This is good news, it proves that open source can make money too. Now Mozilla can fund more activities and they can enhance their other other products.
They could build a nice HTML editor, they could create development tools to migrate IE only sites or they could spend that money to advertise and make their browser more popular.
Way to go Mozilla Foundation.
