Internet Explorer has been loosing market share to Firefox. This is now old news but we now have stats to prove.
Internet Explorer has lost more than 7% market share, it has gone from 74.80% to 67.55% market share. Note to Indian websites, can you now please make your web site work on Firefox? You are loosing the customers who don’t use Internet Explorer.

Every body will use 3rd party browsers, But they end up using IE which is more comfortable.. you are using linux that doesnt mean that IE is loosing the market.. It is not a commercial product its a free product.. most of the corporates do not encourge their employees to use firefox which doesnt have proper support like IE.. In authentication process to secured site First comes IE for using services like webdav. where firefox doesnt authenticate properly which is big flaw
